PRODUCT MANAGER – EMOBILITY

Location: Vimercate (MB), Italy
Business Unit: Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (EVI)

Reporting Line: Head of Product Management     
Level / Seniority: Junior or Medium Level
Employment Contract Type: Permanent; Full-Time

Education – Master Degree in electrical or electronic engineering. 
Experience - minimum 3-4 years of experience in product management roles in EVI / renewables / industrial multinational and structured companies.
Languages - Italian is mandatory. Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English language. 

JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE
The selected candidate will support the definition, the development, the market positioning, the price and the launch of product/system in reference to needs of Customers in EVI market.  

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • New product/solution definition
  • Product portfolio life cycle management
  • Manage projects and products already in progress working on communication and documentation with marketing, but also on new product development dealing with R&D, industrialization and production.
  • Evaluate the feasibility, the investment, mediating between commercial and production needs.
  • Define the technical part prior to product development with R&D and engineering.
  • Support and direct marketing in the communication phases in order to ensure consistency with the technical characteristics of the product.

ACTIVITIES

  • Market Analysis - Leads market intelligence analysis. Understands and defines current market segmentation and related product/system positioning. Identifies potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition and new market opportunity.
  • Product Technical Knowledge - Owns the technical and market specification for the product/system and determines a product/system business plan that supports sustainable growth. 
  • Product Life Cycle - Leads life cycle management process, analyses current product/system, defines and tracks performance metrics, plans appropriate measures (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs) and makes decisions on product/system obsolescence and end-of life. 
  • Portfolio Management - Contributes to development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, follow-up of product/system portfolio performance.
  • New Product Development - Prioritizes new product/system development projects with responsibility for achievement of targets (product characteristics, time, costs, capital expenditure, pay-back) and coordinating cross-functional teams.  
  • Product Marketing - Initiates and drives product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation. Defines product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensures clear communication to channels and users.

TECHNICAL SKILLS 

MUST HAVE 

  • Excellent knowledge of Office Suite: especially Excel and PPT
  • Product Management knowledge
  • Basic business and market competencies
  • Proficiency in research and analysis

NICE TO HAVE

  • Project Management knowledge
  • Competences in EVI Business
